Enable have an exciting opportunity to further develop our team that provides an IPS supported employment service for Shropshire, supporting people with mental health issues in Shropshire into paid employment.
The role of an IPS Employment Specialist is a challenging, varied and rewarding position and will involve helping people who have or have experienced mental health illness to find a job that matches their skills and aspirations. Depending on the support needs of the job seeker, the successful applicant will complete vocational profiles, provide advice and guidance, take an active role in job seeking, support the person and employer throughout the recruitment process, ensure in-work support is in place and provide post-employment support.
You must possess a good level of education and be confident using a computer to maintain records. Ideally, you would have a Level 3 Supported Employment qualification; however, this is not essential as training and support will be provided. It would be beneficial if you have experience of employment or careers work or have previously supported people with mental health illness or disabilities.
