A vacancy for a Senior Social Worker has arisen in the Mental Health Social Work Team, Shropshire, with its county base at The Lantern, Shrewsbury. This post is focused on Central Shropshire, Shrewsbury and outlying towns and villages. A blend of home working and desk use at The Lantern, Shrewsbury and alternative bookable spaces around the county. This is a part-time post. Shropshire Council has a flexible working policy to adapt to work life balance.

You will be working in a busy team and be in partnership with a fellow Senior Social worker to manage the larger central staff team. You will be supervising those who carry full caseloads and hold a couple of complex cases yourself.

You will be working in partnership with others to create best opportunities in localities in Shropshire, enhancing the service already provided with a clear preventative and recovery focus. You will be part of a service which support individuals in the community who are at risk of, or who have a severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.

The successful applicant will have the AMHP qualification, and be willing to undertake the relevant annual training, and participate on the county AMHP rota.
