We are a generic Adult Social Care team, working in the Central area of Shropshire. We support individuals from the age of 18 onwards with a variety of needs, including Older Adults, Adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Physical Disabilities and their families. We work remotely and in person with individuals in the community and placement settings.

A vacancy for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Social Worker has arisen in the Central community Social Work team.  The successful applicant will need to evidence that they have some experience in understanding and supporting the needs of older people, adults with learning disabilities and adults with physical disabilities.

The post-holder will be responsible for assessing and arranging support for adults via the internet, at our local hubs and in people’s own homes in order to promote their independence.  An ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure, excellent organisational and IT skills are essential requirements.
